Irish Mule

  • 2 oz Irish whiskey
  • 1 oz Lime juice
  • 6 oz Ginger Beer

Lime slices (optional)

Mint (optional)

Ice cubes


  1. Take a fancy glass and fill it with ice cubes

  2. Now pour in the required amount of whiskey depending on how hard you want the drink to be and how much booze can be tolerated!

  3. Now add lime juice to the whiskey and then top it with ginger beer! Fill it to the top.

  4. Stir all the three things together and mix well.

  5. Garnish with lime slices and(or) mint leaves/stem if required.

  6. Serve cold and enjoy!

Recipe Notes

  •  Ginger beer is only added for taste. You can use any other aerated (preferably non-alcoholic) drink in place of ginger beer and make the drink the same way! 
  • If you prefer more whiskey, add more of it and less of ginger beer or vice versa if you are a sweet drinker!
  • Copper mule mugs go the best with this drink as they are the traditional cups this drink is served in and they also help in keeping the drink perfectly cold! Copper also increases the fizz of the ginger beer and enhances the taste and reduces acidity! Copper mugs make a huge difference. 
  • Muddled mint will do wonders when added to this drink!    
  • Use ONLY fresh limes.
