Last Sunday I went to the Indy Scream Park with my fearless leader and fellow DoingIndy.com blogger Allison Carter. We wanted to grab some dinner beforehand and it needed to be on the NE side of Indy since we were going to drive up to Anderson afterward.
My friend and Fisher’s resident Tamara suggested The Roost, a breakfast nook that is part of the family-owned and locally operated Sahm’s restaurants (10 total in the Indianapolis area).
I love breakfast, but because I don’t eat eggs I usually have a hard time finding something substantial on breakfast menus. The Roost has an extensive omelet list, so I quickly passed over that to find their sandwiches, patty melts and dinner menu. My, was I surprised!
Of course, I went for the dinner menu – with an entree, choice of side and vegetable, bread and salad, you really can’t go wrong. The prices are extremely affordable for the amount of food you’re getting.
