Sorry, my mouth was full and stick with a spoonful of peanut butter because I’m dreaming about these peanut butter cheerio Krispies. What, you ask why I’m not eating one? Because I took them to work and now they’re all gone.
I love peanut butter. Love, love, love it. Nutella has nothing on some good peanut butter. I like them all, really – crunchy, creamy, natural, omega-3 packed, whatever.
But did you know that they make Peanut Butter Cheerios? I had no clue. They even have a little salty aftertaste, like you bit into a potato chip after eating peanut butter. So delicious. Rahul and I had to keep ourselves from eating them all so I could still make this recipe!
If you can make rice Krispies, you can make this. Instead of just using butter to melt the marshmallows in, this recipe asks for 1/3 cup of peanut butter, which really enhances the peanut butter flavor of the Krispie treats.
