Subscription boxes have been a hit in almost every market. From retail to food to a box for your dog, you can order a monthly gift to yourself just because. When I heard about NatureBox, I knew I needed to give it a try.
That box for dogs is called BarkBx, by the way, in case
you decided to leave this site and Google the dog box because you know that sounded amazing and you’re going to buy one now you were wondering.
NatureBox is a monthly subscription of snacks sent right to your door. Their tagline, “discovering better choices,” defines the nutritionist-approved healthy snacks that you can learn about through moderately-sized portions.
I’ll admit that I was a bit hesitant to type in my credit card number when I didn’t know how big the snacks would be, but I found a Yoga Journal coupon code of 25% off so I decided to take a chance on it, knowing that I could cancel my subscription at any time.
Also, uh, I have a nut allergy, so signing up for a box that would send me random snacks means I would take a chance on receiving cashews, pistachios or pine nuts, three things I am allergic to. I contacted NatureBox support and they were able to help me out, so if you have this problem, please contact them.
NatureBox boasts an impressive “Nutritionist Approved” label:
- No high fructose corn syrup
- No partially hydrogenated oils
- No artificial sweeteners
- No artificial flavors
- No artificial colors
- 0g trans fats
Do you know that the average American eats almost 25% of their calories from snacking? I would believe it. That potato chip bag you bought?
What bag, you say?
Oh, yeah, you ate it already. SAYS EVERY AMERICAN.
NatureBox’s missin is to provide healthy snack options in the easiest way possible – from USPS.
Food for a cause? Youbetcha. NatureBox donates to Why Hunger, a movement to end hunger and poverty by connecting people to nutritious, affordable food by supporting grassroots solutions that inspire self-reliance and community empowerment. They also donate snacks to many community organizations.
How it works
For $19.95, NatureBox will send you 5 healthy snacks via USPS. Each month you’ll find a new set of snacks to try. NatureBox bills your credit card but you may cancel your account at any time.
So far we’ve been amazed at the snacks we’ve received. I’ll be honest – we ate the first box before I remembered to take pictures of it for this blog. So we had to wait on the second box to arrive.
This month, we received: Big Island Pineapple, Wild Berry Bunch, Cheddar Pub Pretzels, Whole Wheat Blueberry Figgy Bars and Zesta Fiesta Mix.
Delicious? Why yes, yes they are.
NatureBox offers subscriptions with more than 5 snacks, if you have a large family (or a large appetite. I don’t judge).
And no, I must say that NatureBox did not compensate me for this post. They don’t even know that I’m writing it. Maybe they’ll see this and think, “Wow, what a delightful blog!” or not, it doesn’t matter. It’s a product I love enough to tell you about it regardless what they think. If you decide to purchase a NatureBox, please come back and leave me a comment with your opinion on it!
