Indianapolis is home to several publications that provide our community with up to date information about what’s going on around us, and many of them are free to the public. Edible Indy is one of those and with their new ownership and management, I think you’re going to want to pick up a copy.
I’ve picked up copies of Edible Indy at Goose the Market and the Broad Ripple Farmers Market and I’ve always enjoyed reading it, but now that my friend Heather Tallman has been appointed as the new managing editor, I’m even more excited to check it out. Heather’s love of food pours out of her through her blog, Basilmomma.com, as well as her Around the Kitchen Sink radio show where she shares recipes and cooking tips. I’ve gotten to know her through a Facebook group we both belong in and our relationship with Indiana Family of Farmers and I must say that Heather has become a valuable resource for me and my food blogging career.
Edible Indy was recently purchased by Jennifer and Jeff Rubenstein, who will lead the publication to its 10th issue that will debut in mid November. With it will come a new look, feel and direction but it will continue to focus on local food culture. Want to know more about their relaunch? Follow Edible Indy on Facebook to stay up to date!
