    My grandma always made this awesome plum jelly when I was a kid. While everyone else had Smucker’s on their sandwich, I always packed something special in their lunch box.

    My mom was not a good cook, but she always made homemade pie crust when she made pies. And you know how you have leftover dough from trimming the dough around the pie plate? She’d put all those piece together and roll them out again, put this dough in a tiny pie pan and fill it with some dabs of butter and then jam or jelly for “jelly pie.” So sweet! One of my favorite childhood memories.

    I love pickled beets! My gramma always canned them and even as a kid I thought beets were a tasty treat. Odd, I know ;)

    It’s a toss up for me between Strawberry jam and Apple Cinnamon, both of which my mom used to make quite often….But I’m gonna have to go with Strawberry!! :)

    I made pickled asparagus once and it was fantastic! Great as a snack or on a veggie burger. Unfortunately I decided to do this when it was out of season and ended up spending $75, but totally worth it. :)

    My jam of the moment? “Cry Like a Ghost” from Passion Pit’s yet-to-be-released album, “Gossamer.”
