About Me

Sara Croft is a food adventurer with a passion for creating and a hunger for culinary inspiration. Her obsession with food began when she moved to Indianapolis in 2009 and found options that were not accessible to her in her smaller hometown of Terre Haute, Indiana. Feeling the same passion that restaurant chef’s felt while plating their own food, Sara eagerly creates her own recipes in her little blue kitchen and records them and her food adventures in the city on SolidGoldEats.com.

Founded in June 2012, Sara now has over 200 blog posts of canning and preserving projects, festival and restaurant recaps, and various recipes of everything that comes out of her kitchen. Sara enjoys tackling projects and simplifying them for those who may be intimidated by certain cooking methods such as venison, rabbit and homemade sausage. Her Sausage, Kale and Potato Soup was posted on The Huffington Post’s Taste section for breakfast sausage recipes, and her photography has been highlighted on Tastespotting.com. Sara was selected as a Serious Sandwich Cookalong blogger for the release of Emeril Lagasee’s cookbook Kicked-Up Sandwiches, and was featured on Emeril Lagasee’s Facebook page for recreating several of his sandwiches. She is currently syndicating recipes with LIN Media, and they’re being featured everywhere from Terre Haute, Indiana to Albuquerque, New Mexico.

I have two dogs, Brandy (age 4) and Dollar (age 6), who make random appearances in my posts.

I also write over at Doing Indy, a blog for people visiting Indianapolis and those who live here but need ideas of what to do and where to go.
