The sickness finally got me. Here’s some water.

I really thought I was going to get out of this season without getting sick. Sadly, I was mistaken. Luckily I haven’t had a fever, but head congestion + asthma + mucus = no good, no good. Things are rough at work, too, and I’m sure stress played a huge role in beating down my immune system. Work days start and end in the dark, and often continue on in my brain whether I like it or not. We have two huge fundraisers back to back in February and March, which reeks havoc on my schedule, but I take solace in knowing that it’s really only 3 months out of the year that are super hectic for me. That is not that bad, not that bad at all.

But sadly, it means that I have to set this blog aside until A) I feel better, and B) I have energy to cook something, photograph it, blog about it and share it with you.

So I’ll get you some goodies up here soon, I promise. In the mean time, enjoy this detox water. I don’t care that it’s supposed to “detox” my body. I like it because it tastes good and reminds me of the water I get when I visit Taste Cafe and Marketplace.

Detox Water aka Water that Tastes Good

Ingredients:

  • 1 large pitcher of purified water
  • 4 lemons, sliced
  • 12 mint leaves

Throw the stuff in the water. Stir. It’s good.

I hope you get to feeling better soon. Just so you know, that detox water looks so refreshing, I am adding “mint” to my shopping list of this weekend so I can make some!
