Let me preface this by saying one this – I do not eat doughnuts.
Why? It must be something with the amount of sugar that’s used, but every time I eat a doughnut my stomach gets upset and I feel sick. It’s not just about eating one for breakfast when there’s nothing else in my stomach, I can eat one at any time of day and I’m never satisfied nor please. I think I used to be able to eat them, as a kid or something, but now, they’re just not my cup of tea.
However, when I saw this recipe for glazed doughnut muffins, I thought I’d give it a try.
Nutmeg and cinnamon trick you into thinking that you’re eating a regular doughnut, and the sugary glaze even tastes like you’re biting into a Krispy Kreme.
The texture is far from a Krispy Kreme, which is where the “muffin” part comes in. It definitely takes like a breakfast muffin more than a cupcake or doughnut, which I like.
I didn’t alter anything with this recipe, so please visit the original post at My Baking Addiction to see the recipe!
