It’s that time of year where we roll out the grill, pull out the tablecloth and invite our friends over for relaxing afternoons of grillin’ and chillin’. Just this past weekend we had guests over for grilled jalapeño burgers with corn on the cob, a simple meal that always seems to please. Next weekend we will be entertaining again and I have already started to plan a menu. What can I say, I’m not a huge entertainer/party planner person (hello SoBro bungalow home that barely fits 2 people and 2 dogs), but when the weather is nice, I LOVE hanging out on our backyard deck with friends and family.
As I was browsing past SGE recipes for inspiration, I figured I needed to make it easier for others to see what grilling recipes I have. Not all of these recipes are straight off the grill, but the side dishes, vegetables and salads are the kind of recipes you might make to accompany a grilled steak or spicy pork chop.
What kind of grill do we use? I’m glad you asked! John and I picked out a charcoal Webber grill 2 years ago and we absolutely love it. It’s a traditional Webber grill, but it has a side table that is so freakin’ handy. You can also place charcoal bags in the convenient basket underneath.
I am not only excited to compile these grilled SGE recipes to you here, but I’ll also have a grilled recipe for The Indianapolis Star on Friday, May 23 as well! What is it? Well you’ll just have to pick up the paper to see!
